Form2Content 3.0 for Joomla 1.6

We congratulate Joomla with the new release of J!1.6. Although we had started work on our F2C J!1.6 version the stable release has come somewhat quicker than expected. At the moment we (namely Julien) is working hard on getting F2C 3.0 release for Joomla 1.6 ready.

One of the main questions is when we will be ready .... but since we have already come across a Joomal 1.6 bug we can't even release even if we where ready. Basically it means we advice people to not yet start with any commercial Joomla 1.6 projects since the platform isn't stable enough.

Licensing of Form2Content Pro

Form2Content Pro 3.0 for Joomla 1.6 will be released as a separate product, requiring a per domain license. There have been too many changes requiring too much work for us to provide a free upgrade from 1.5 to 1.6 ... I hope you understand and appreciate the situation. Naturally we will continue to provide free support for all the extensions.

Migration F2C 2.x to F2C 3.0

Migrating from F2C version 2.x to 3.x will be an issue we will look into once everything is up and running. The way it looks like at the moment (without guarantees) is that we might accomplish this with a migration script and tranfer of files..... other ideas always welcome! A new license for F2C 3.0 will be required.

Form2Content Lite for Joomla 1.6

Of course we will be releasing a Form2Content Liet version for Joomla 1.6. As you might expect we first need to get the F2C Pro version up and running smoothly.

Support for Form2Content Pro 2.x (Joomla 1.5)

We will continue to develop both our F2C version for at least another year (ie. 2011). Depending on how Joomla 1.6 develops we will decide at some point to continue development with F2C 3.x version only but that will be some time.
